It seems as though the Food Truck industry is really beginning to boom in the Jacksonville area. From downtown festivals like One Spark to the Food Truck Food Court on Beach Blvd, the trend continues to grow. We are now starting to see this trend showing up at Wedding Receptions as well. Brides are trading late night snacks and dessert bars for full on Food Truck fare, and there are tons of great options to choose from. Themes vary greatly, from burgers and tacos to seafood and gourmet ice pops, Brides can create everything from fun cocktail hours to full dinner menus utilizing local food trucks.
Even though the Food Truck concept can be an amazing way to add variety and infuse some casual fun into your reception, there aren’t many local venues that are “food truck friendly”. We wanted to find a solution for our clients who wanted the casual variety of a food truck festival but didn’t have the proper venue to make that happen. So we began coming up with Food Truck Inspired Menus. While similar in form to the traditional food stations that you might see at some weddings, Mai Oui! switched out the typical food options like carving stations and mashed potato bars for fun street food that will delight guest and create the casual interactive feel that used to be reserved for festivals and fairs.
With station options like our Gourmet Grilled Cheese, Singapore Street Noodles, and Fish Tacos, Mai Oui! stays on trend by offering your guest fresh and unique dinner options that are literally made to order before their very eyes. The possibilities are endless so don’t let our menu limit you. Bring us your favorite foods and we can custom create a station for you. From fresh salads, to southern sliders there isn’t much that we can’t do as a Food Truck concept.
Don’t limit yourself to savory either. Sweets make amazing Food Truck fare! Trading in the traditional Viennese or Dessert Table for a bevy of Food Truck Inspired Dessert Stations would absolutely WOW your guests! From Popsicle and Ice Cream Stations, to Krispy Kreme Flambe Stations, utilizing this concept will keep your guest talking for weeks after your wedding.
No matter what type of food you want to serve this trendy new concept is a winner for sure. It might not be for the Bride who is looking to have a formal event, but it is absolutely perfect for a Bride who wants her wedding to have a laid back and interactive atmosphere.
